About me
Linda Coogan Byrne is a Music & Creative Consultant with 15 years of experience in the international and domestic music industry. She is also an activist and campaigner for gender and diversity equality. Her Gender Disparity Reports focusing on The lack of diversity and womxn across Radio in the UK and Ireland have over 100 million audience reach. A talented woman, her skillset doesn’t stop there as Linda is also a multidisciplinary artist, writer, sync agent, musician, nutritionist, food blogger, and publicist. In fact Linda’s illustrations and artwork have appeared in many National and International Publications and Magazines. She has exhibited in private and public galleries nationwide, including a recent group exhibition in The Kildare Gallery at Carton House and a solo show at Inspire-Galerie in Dublin City in July 2017, where most of the pieces sold out. Linda is the founder of Irish Entertainment PR & Marketing Company Good Seed PR, where she works as a publicist and as the company MD. She has represented well-known acts and bands such as Cyndi Lauper, Suzanne Vega, Amanda Palmer, Counting Crows, Madness, Duran Duran, REM, Eleanor McEvoy, Aoife Scott, The Saw Doctors, Aslan, Groove Armada, Underworld, The Prodigy, Röyksopp and many more over the years. Including brands such as IKEA, ITV, AXA, ESPN, Volkswagen, Dominos Pizza, O2, Land Rover, Lexus, and many more leading brands. She has worked with companies such as BBC and RTE in Belfast and Dublin, Cooking Vinyl Records, Sony, Warner, Universal, BMG, EMI, Atlantic Records, Thirty Tiger and many more labels all over the world directly and on a freelance level. Linda lives in London and works as a music industry consultant and project manager, along with Why Not Her? as an advocate and campaigner for equality in the music industry for womxn and acts of diversity. Linda’s unique insight into the world of music spans many different angles lending itself to a vast range of experience, and an extensively impressive list of contacts across the entertainment industry both in Ireland, the UK, and overseas. Linda was the acting editor of the award-winning lifestyle e-magazine Indulgeme.ie in 2019 where she interviewed many inspiring women on the Women We Love column. She freelance writes for various webzines and magazines and is currently working on her first book set to be released in June 2022. She just launched a brand new Podcast Series called the Why Not Her? Podcast that focuses on amplifying the voices of womxn across a myriad of industries around the world as well as activists.
