I supported Hays Talent Solutions' marketing team with design with a global modification project. This involved creating and amending the design of corporate documents that will be viewed internally and for Hays’ clients. I also helped with other projects that needed materials to be designed/created.
I was working under JBH as a retainer for Reed. The role involved creating digital and print designs for B2B and B2C purposes. I also got to work on projects for JBH and other clients when the teams workload was high. Responsibilities: • Liaised with Reed’s marketing team to support with incoming design briefs • Recorded time spent on each task which allowed Reed to view the costs per hour and estimated time for work to be presented • Created the relevant design work aligned to the set brand guidelines and briefs • Provided final files for print or web ready Work ranged from: eBooks, posters, flyers, HTML emails, brochures, social media, web assets, corporate documents/templates and infographics.
I was the sole graphic designer at DSU. This role allowed me to become more experienced with advanced print projects; including large format and working with multiple brands. My responsibilities included: • Liaise with team members for projects including; branding, campaigns, events such as freshers, digital media and commercial materials • Work with external companies to send designs to print correctly and to the deadline • Provide advice to students and DSU staff on print options and for design ideas • Schedule DSU graphics for advertising purposes to appear on TVs in the campus centre building • Generate final designs using InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and various Adobe software • Using CMS [MSL] to control layout and content for the DSU website.
I first joined as an intern with the Change 100 development scheme: https://bit.ly/32Z2zIo Working within the HR Resourcing team my Responsibilities included: • Managing National Grid's recruitment social media such as: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram [@natgridjobs] • Creating in-house design work: such as printed materials, digital and social media content • Using CMS [concrete5] to make changes on the careers website • Support teams with branding / designing internal and external systems • Taking part in decision making and idea generation for recruitment branding • To help structure recruitment campaigns for apprenticeships, graduates/student placements, and professional roles • Creating paid / targeted Facebook PPC adverts • Setting up external adverts on various job boards (online and print) • HR Newsletter emails using MailChimp • Administration for finance brand payments. Extra activities: making changes to intranet site, filming/editing, event photography and helping manage website live chat for career related queries.
