A dynamic people person, with multi-level liaison skills and the ability to solve problems quickly and creatively. I have an extensive background in arts administration and human resources, with a bit of writing, proofreading and transcription thrown in for good measure. I have worked in a variety of positions for some well-known and highly respected names, which has provided me with a wealth of life long transferable skills.
I'm passionate about people, what makes them tick and how people can best work together in order to achieve their collective goals. I am a CIPD qualified HR Consultant, trained Mental Health First Aider, and have previously held a Prince2 Project Management qualification.
HR is never at the top of anyone's wish list, but there are lots of things happening in the creatives industries right now. The pandemic has hit the creative sector hard and highlighted many issues that have been affecting freelancers for some time, and various organisations and taskforces have committed to pushing for change. I'm looking to use my industry experience and proactive approach to help create positive and lasting change for all, and making sure that employers can bring out the best in their teams.

I prefer words to numbers and continue to pursue my love of creative writing through voluntary work, it also comes in handy for writing engaging copy and reports, alongside checking those of others!
Despite my preference for words, I am comfortable with budget management and have experience of this too, particularly in an events environment.
I have proven event management experience, dealing with screenings and events for up to 450 guests and pride myself on my relationship building and people management skills, always remaining calm under pressure.
