I am a confident, self-motivated individual who has experience of setting up an award winning Breast Cancer Support company, alongside carrying out a 13 month internship at HP and completing a summer Marketing internship in Sydney. As a Business Consultant, within the Strategic Sales Centre at DXC, I design and deliver pre-sales demonstrations and run collaborative innovation workshops to provide executive stakeholders a view of DXC’s transformational Cloud, DevOps, Workplace and Service Management Capabilities. Engagements are targeted at C-Level senior executives globally. I help support consulting and advisory services to clients by running the technical demonstrations and helping articulate business solutions and DXC’s capabilities. Outside the demonstration role I support the service, helping it to evolve, engaging with partners and wider DXC community. My marketing experience has been essential in designing and presenting cloud demonstrations, executive dashboard solutions and data centre management solutions to CxO audiences. Key achievements include individually contributing to $274M of TCV alongside receiving recognition and excelling in performance reviews due to my contribution in both delivery and revenue growth for the company.
Hyundai Brilliant Young Entrepreneur UK Winner 2014. Securing £15,000 investment. Originating within my 2nd year of university. Myself and some fellow students designed and developed a product to aid recovering breast cancer patients. After initial research we believed it to be a new product in a niche market, over the academic year we won Regional Young Enterprise and Progressed to National Young Enterprise to then secure £15,000 investment from Hyundai. As Marketing and Sales manager within the team I now truly understand intricacies of a start‐up business. Key roles have included; creating a strong brand for the business to designing prototypes, negotiating with suppliers and carrying out extensive market research/test marketing. Alongside this, I organised a PR release for the business into a local North East Newspaper. My most recent success is securing potential deals with distributors such as MacMillan and Guys & St Thomas. This year having a business alongside a full time job has been demanding, making time management skills vital. Like any start up business we have come across many setbacks along the way, but self‐motivation and determination to succeed is what is driving the project and I am very excited for future prospects.
I have led and delivered a portfolio of high-profile projects, including a number of internal software upgrades and those with limited resources and inflexible deadlines. I have successfully co-ordinated between 5 and 10 projects at any onetime alongside leading frequent customer and stakeholder meetings to drive requirements, asses project progression and identify and mitigate any operational risks. All projects required forecasting, securing and managing project budgets of up to £250,000 per project.
Obtained in-depth knowledge about loyalty schemes in order to propose innovate program designs, working with customer requirements in order to design engaging hybrid loyalty models, such as points based or surprise & delight. Initiated presales meetings and formulated a comprehensive proposal documents, which included a competitor review, program design options, a design and launch schedule and costing model. Regularly analysed website analytics in order to assist customers in understanding website optimisation. I developed a strong awareness of web analytics software such as Google Analytics, Crazy Egg and Optimizely. Run the UK&I customer reference program, working with Campaign and Sales Managers to create case studies, to market deals within HP. This required excellent organisational skills, up to date knowledge and regular communication to source potential case studies. I also managed the external creation agency and worked alongside PR to drive win releases, again needing a strong collaborative attitude. Successfully organised and executed various National Events, Seminars, Meetings and tradeshows, e.g. IP EXPO, Gen9 Launch, BETT, SQL Bits, World Tour. Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail were required to manage the logistics successfully. All events required a professional, confident approach. Created and executed campaign assets, such as EDM’s and online banner creative. Ensuring brand compliance and that they are fit for purpose for the UK&I markets was essential. Managed the EG social media and webinar channels, including set-up and registrations. The @HPenterpriseUKI followers increased over the year by 200%, I believe this is due to my strong engagement and keeping content relevant. Captured and analysed customer feedback and data in order to assess any potential sales opportunities to generate leads, requiring an analytical mind. Managed the sourcing and purchasing of collateral, such as event giveaways. Personal creativity and a passionate attitude was needed to bring exciting products to the marketing team. A new aspect I acquired was working with the European Head of Innovation to assist with the planning of events at HP Bristol Labs. The level of attendees were both European “Gold” partners and strategic pursuits (those worth more than $50million). I worked closely with customers such as BP, Ted Baker, Red Bull and the Met Police, again requiring faultless professionalism as these were extremely large deals for HP.
