About me
Lisa Hassell is a creative consultant, curator and founder of Inkygoodness, a global community focused on connecting, inspiring and developing artists and creative businesses. In 2021, she launched Inkygoodness Collective - a curated global membership for emerging and practising illustrators. Hosting regular online meet-ups, free workshops and events, discussion and advice sessions, design talks, intensive courses and masterclasses, Inkygoodness Collective connects a growing community of artist members from around the globe for a daily dose of inspiration, motivation and professional development. Previously she ran WE ARE GOODNESS illustration agency representing a diverse roster of international artists. Over the course of her career she has worked with art buyers, branding agencies, design studios, magazines and production companies to deliver illustration, typography, animation and character design for advertising campaigns, online marketing and editorial for clients including Google UX, Google Play, Tony's Chocoloney, The Guardian and New York Magazine. Lisa is also a published writer and arts journalist, specialising in creative business, entrepreneurship, illustration, graphic design; reporting on emerging trends, sharing industry insight and interviewing artists about their creative practice. Her words can be found on the pages of Creative Review, Computer Arts and IdN Magazine to name a few. Her first Domestika Course 'How to Kickstart your Creative Career' will drop Summer 2023. Inkygoodness (inkygoodness.com) is an art and culture platform that launched in 2010 with the sole purpose of showcasing emerging talent in illustration. Through innovative exhibitions, networking events, and creating online content designed to engage with our growing audience, we have dedicated ourselves to championing illustration, character design and visual art worldwide, building a global community of engaged young creative professionals (over 60k on social media). From our sell-out ‘Play’ exhibition on Brick Lane in 2010 - featuring over 65 original artworks, prints and 3D sculptures inspired by the theme of play, to 'Character Totem' - a show of 30 large scale wooden totems featuring one-off designs by international artists - on display at Pictoplasma Berlin, we’ve had the pleasure of working with some of the most talented artists in the industry at early stages of their career. Inkygoodness partnered with Glug Worldwide in 2014 to launch Glug Birmingham, a bi-annual design talks and networking event for local creatives, followed in 2015 by the launch of sister illustration agency WE ARE GOODNESS. We're proud to have worked with a growing collective of global artists and illustrators over the years, including McBess, Good Wives & Warriors, Playground Paris, Supermundane, Alex Fowkes, Tado, David Shillinglaw, Sue Doeksen, Hattie Stewart, BURO BURO & many more. We're proud to have collaborated as a media partner on a number of design events, festivals and conferences including Pictoplasma, Glug, OFFSET Dublin, OFFSET Sheffield and Us By Night, delivering live event coverage and marketing support through our social media channels.
