About me
I studied art at Loughborough Art College and went on to do a degree in Fashion & Textiles at Bristol Art College.
I worked for many years in the commercial fashion industry, living in London & traveling around East Asia & India producing clothing ranges for high street chains.
Between 2009-10 I spent time at the studio of Leicester artist, Paul Wright, learning to paint portraits & life model in oils.
It took time to see & mix the subtle colours in the tones of flesh but eventually it started to happen. I could see how I could translate this into my own style using colours, techniques and experimentation from my own experiences in the fashion industry.
In 2011 I set myself the target to produce and sell 50 paintings in 2 years and started to paint every day in my own studio, condensing my signature to ‘Timm’.
My work is well known locally & I have a large on-line following
As winner of the Northants Arts Festival 2013, ‘The Charles Rennie Mackintosh House & Galleries’ awarded me a 3 month solo exhibition in Northampton in 2014, my first solo exhibition. I am currently represented by two UK galleries, am open to more gallery representation & ways to use my images commercially.
