The formal thing to say here would be : Liz Seabrook is editorial and commercial portrait and lifestyle photographer living and working in London, UK. What I prefer to say is that I like to take pictures of people, whether it's for a brand or magazine and whether they're cycling, sitting down, riding a skateboard, wearing clothes that don't belong to them or singing on a stage. I'm a curious person who likes capturing people in between poses. I have been on the editorial team at oh comely magazine for the last two and half years as their lifestyle editor and photographer. Other clients include Jigsaw, Brooks of England, Marks and Spencer and Cyclist Magazine.
As a studio assistant at Spring the days are long, there are endless things to carry and people often ask you for strange things. But, it taught me a lot about the fashion industry, allowed me to meet a wealth of interesting people and sneak peeks at the lighting set ups of some of the best photographers working in the UK and around the world. I also made some great friends in the assistants around me.
At The Church of London I primarily worked on their youth culture publication HUCK. My role mainly consisted of gathering content for online, whether that was writing a short blog post or going out to interview and photograph someone.
