Freelance Event Producer

Electric Sunshine Telegraph Events

Nov 2015
  • I have worked as a freelance event producer since November 2015 and during this time I have worked on a number of events for Electric Sunshine and Telegraph Events. I worked for Electric Sunshine on the Belstaff Presentation for London Fashion Week. During this role I worked on site with the team to ensure a smooth delivery of the presentation ensuring all models and backstage staff were in the right place at the right time. I also worked for them as an event producer for an office Christmas Party for Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI) at the Montcalm Hotel. Again, I worked onsite with the team to ensure the smooth running of the event including dressing the venue space, and guest list duties. For Telegraph Events I have worked on Salon QP at the Saatchi Gallery. During this role, I worked on site with the operations team to liaise with exhibitors and visitors and general box office duties. I have also worked with the Telegraph Events team on the Rouleur Classic event at Vinopolis and The Outdoor Adventure & Travel, the London Bike Show and the Triathlon Show: London at Excel. During these roles I managed the FOH area and worked on site managing the temporary staff.

Operations & Publishing Executive

Telegraph Events

Aug 2013 - Aug 2015
  • Telegraph Events is one of the UK’s largest consumer event companies and also publishes the Ski & Snowboard magazine. As part of the operations department of Telegraph Events I organised the logistical aspects of events from large-scale consumer exhibitions (50,000 + visitors) to smaller bespoke events. I would liaise with suppliers, contractors, exhibitors and visitors of the shows to ensure that events ran smoothly, deliveries made on time and deadlines met. Pre-show I would produce the signage/graphics and special feature builds in conjunction with the marketing team, show director and any involved sponsors and handle proofs. For each event I would assemble the exhibitor manuals including all health & safety documentation and vital information for exhibitors. As part of my role I would help to produce and manage the floor plan and re draw the plans when necessary. Before arriving on site at the shows, I would ensure that the floor plans, exhibitor lists and exhibitor specials were up to date and all information given to contractors correct to ensure a smooth build. I also managed all temporary staff pre show and onsite and all staff accommodation. On site at the shows I would tackle problems that arose quickly and efficiently. The publishing side of this role included assisting with the production and co-ordination of the print and digital versions of the magazine and weekly newsletters.
