Hello. I’m Lloyd Bent. I’m a freelance copywriter, journalist and published author.
I’ve been working with words since I graduated university eight (yikes) years ago, doing everything from marketing and copywriting for arts organisations to investigative political journalism. I also run a record label, so I’ve got a really good insight into what business owners want because I am one.

A passion project alongside full-time work until now. In 2017 I founded an independent record label. I head up the general management of the label, as well as the A&R, finances, vinyl pressing and legal work. I use my press experience to handle the promotion of the label and its bands. I work with national and international radio stations and press, with the label’s music featuring across multiple major stations every week. I have overseen the international distribution, sales, synchronisation and licensing of our records, nationwide tours and a festival.

I led a team of three people, frequently deputising for the manager.
