Creative and diligent university graduate looking for a progressive and challenging role within a Music or Digital Media company. I am particularly interested in learning how digital and disruptive technologies affects marketing strategies and techniques used by music companies to further their artist’s careers in a rapidly changing, highly competitive and innovative market environment. In my 2nd year at university my modules consisted of Business Start-Up, Digital Entertainment Commerce, Project Management, Digital Design Project, Popular Music Culture and Music Publishing. During my third year I studied Event Management, executed a final major project, wrote a dissertation and undertook four work industry placements. I am driven by my passion as a music consumer and particularly as a fan of Heavy Metal. I have the enthusiasm towards gaining experience and learning as much as possible.
My Duties Include: ➢ Managing a Small Team of Event Organisers ➢ Social Media Marketing and Promotion of a Monthly Event ➢ Managing and Recording all Revenue Taken, Both In Advance and On the Door ➢ Liaising with Venue Staff and Security to Ensure Crowd Control and Safety ➢ Scheduling Playlists ➢ Booking performance artists and DJs ➢ Liaising with Artists’ Booking Agents and Management ➢ Organising Publicity for Events, including Flyers and Posters ➢ Distributing Publicity Materials ➢ Artist and Venue Liaison ➢ Updating and categorising libraries on a Microsoft Access Database
My Duties Included: ➢ Managing the physical and digital press archives ➢ Preparing national press release mail outs ➢ Completing a daily radio airplay and TV coverage report ➢ Tracking digital product prices on the ITunes store ➢ Managing the business’s Twitter and Tumblr accounts ➢ Checking prices and stock levels of products on Amazon UK ➢ Assisting with video interviews and press at artist’s events in London ➢ Transcribing interviews between artists and media for print ➢ Updating mailing lists and adding all new contacts into a database
My Duties Included: ➢ Updating Physical and Digital Sales Reports ➢ Creating and Maintaining Streaming Playlists ➢ Ensuring all Artist’s Tour Dates are Advertised Correctly ➢ Social Media Marketing ➢ Connecting Telephone Calls Between Artists and Media ➢ Preparing UK and International Promotional Mail-Outs ➢ Researching potential business ideas for the Label’s Streaming Platforms
