About me
Having recently completed A Levels and a BTEC, I am on a gap year and will be going to the University of Nottingham in September to study Sociology and Social Policy. I believe in compassion and try to spread this with everything I do, from social action projects to plain conversation. Among my skills are planning, writing and delivering: community projects, speeches, reports, articles, poems and award-winning essays— as well as music/sound design, one piece of which was shortlisted for the BBC Young Composer of the Year 2017 award. In the future I want to take on an urgent global issue, such as climate change, at a non-profit organisation.

At college I won an Achievement Award for my essays, and as Student Union Diversity officer I led LGBT+ Month; for that and a club I ran, I won a Jack Petchey Award. Meanwhile I wrote a short speech on London's problems such as knife crime, delivering it to the Mayor of London and a few hundred other people; then later with the same organisation I met with the chief of London’s police force to arrange a commitment to youth- friendly values. I’ve also professionally tutored A Level Sociology.
