I work for the Paddle project within ESN. Paddle has created a CMS to easily manage and update multiple websites. Created under a framework contract, most current clients are Flemish government agencies. The goal is to expand this towards the private sector as well, focussing on companies that have more than 3 websites.
We work in a two-person marketing team, generating leads for a 3-person sales team. I am in charge of e-mail marketing and content production: I write, lay-out and send about 5 e-mails a week and I also write for the blog. My colleague is in charge of social media and visual production. Together, we decide who to target and how, setting up a cross-channel media strategy. We also organise and participate in offline marketing and networking events regularly.

As Digital Marketing Executive I was in charge of dedicated emailings to find leads for diverse clients in the B2B sector. I was also responsible for lead generation for Companeo itself, through Facebook, LinkedIn and emailing campaigns. Content-wise, I was in charge of the Q&A-sections, the Facebook community management and I created content for LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter - all this for the Belgian market in French and Dutch. I also translate and/or proofread all Dutch content company-wide for Belgium and the Netherlands.

This Master in Multi-lingual Professional Communication was situated between the department of Literature and Linguistics and that of Applied Economic Sciences. It offered introductory courses in accounting, marketing and management and more advanced courses in business communication and business skills. I complemented the compulsory courses with classes in meeting techniques and intercultural communication. My master thesis was on the intercultural influences on politeness when asking questions in Dutch.
