About me
A first-class, Fashion Design Graduate with one year of experience working in a studio and design assistant role, within fashion-forward brands. I am a highly resourceful individual with demonstrable creativity and flare, assisting in the development of woven, latex and knitted collections for commercial companies and producing an award-winning graduate collection. I am a curious and enthusiastic designer who is dedicated to staying well versed with current and vintage trends and catwalks. As well as design and manufacturing, I am confident in my research and analysis skills. Due to the nature of my degree, I frequently conducted focussed group interviews, ethnographic research and market research in order to inform each collection I designed. I am enthusiastic about the research process and enjoy being emersed in different settings. In studying abroad in Philadelphia in my third year of university, I am confident in traveling by myself and aim to maximise my outlook of the world in every opportunity. Despite studying a largely artistic, creative and practical degree, I am immensely confident in my writing and communication ability. Coinciding with my graduate collection, my dissertation examined the link between Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) stigma and preconceptions of sexual-identity, gender-identity, and racial-identity based communities. The study aimed to identify and propose a solution to raise awareness and remove stigma through design. I, therefore, have a strong understanding of compiling data, analysing academic journals and conducting interviews.
