About me
💥 I graduated from University of Westminster with a BA Hons degree in #Journalism. During my course I gained knowledge in writing for print and online. I also worked on creating a #podcast for a project which I edited on #Audacity as well as editing a video version of the bloopers on #FinalCutPro for #YouTube. During my final year I did a Fashion Journalism module where we were assigned in teams to create a magazine from scratch. I was the editor in chief as well as the #stylist and studio producer for the photoshoot (very small team hence the number of roles). I absolutely LOVED both these projects and each brought out a whole new range of skills that I didn't know I had during that time in my life such as #management, #scheduling, #styling, #producing, and #leadership
💥 I've worked as a #fashionstylist for #Topshop but decided to then pursue a career in my field of study by becoming a Junior Journalist for Volant Media. At my time there I wrote news for their online website as well as producing and presenting VTs and live segments about fashion. I interviewed many designers such as #PaulCostelloe. Before I left the company, I also produced a half an hour special show on the highlights from #LondonFashionWeek.
💥 In my most recent job at Marjan Television Network, I spent over four and a half years there as a #CreativeProducer and #Presenter. In my time there I gained more skills than I could ever imagine that stretched far beyond my job title. I produced and presented hour long shows, VT packages, live show segments as well as training any newcomers. I handled the pre-production and post-production for all my projects. I interviewed many talents such as Tamara Ralph (Ralph&Russo), Sevdaliza, Liraz, Ali Pirzadeh, Reza Deghati, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Shirin Neshat, Dr Maryam Zamani and many more. I also covered events such as #LondonFashionWeek, Venice Biennale, Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams exhibition, Epic Iran exhibition, Azzedine Alaia exhibition, Frida Kahlo exhibition, Mary Quant exhibition, Cancer Research Shine Night Walk Marathon, Rumi The Musical and many more. I definitely think I have the skills that could easily be transferable to other roles excluding producing and presenting, such as marketing, PR and talent management.Â
🤪 Fun Fact: I abseiled down the Royal Free Hospital whilst presenting LIVE on camera. No one else has ever done that. 😎
🎨 In my spare time I enjoy checking out galleries and exhibitions. Painting and fashion styling are my creative outlets. Currently I am campaigning for women's rights and human rights in Iran and have worked with Amnesty International in continuing to raise awareness by getting people's voices in Iran heard here in the West.
