Although I constantly liaise with both the operations and sales teams, my role lies mainly within the documentation team as I am responsible for the preparation of documents for customers looking to both export and import goods. These include marine certificates of insurance, shipping instructions (original and express bills of lading) and consular documents (EU C/O and EUR1), the majority of which involve extensive IT literacy. I also process all purchase invoices for payment and communicate with clients and companies that have been sub-contracted by ourselves on a daily basis regarding the collection and delivery of goods. This therefore often means acting as a first point of contact to deal with any problems that may occur using quick thinking and initiative.
