I previously worked for a businessman who owned two companies. My role enabled me to gain extensive skills related to both the Property Management and Publishing sectors. Within my multifaceted job role I found my conscientious mind and ability to multi task were key to success. I’m always eager to prove myself; I enjoy friendly competition and don’t shy away from challenges at work. • Assistant: My impeccable organisational skills allowed me to ensure my boss was always where he needed to be. I was able to manage appointments, phone calls and emails and ensure that all matters were handled efficiently. All letters received were responded to through email, dictation or written response. I am proficient in Microsoft Office. • Reception: First port of call, welcoming all visitors to the office from tenants to MPs. Within this role I was able to build rapport with many clients and help people feel at ease with my friendly, approachable nature. • Telephone skills: I answered two telephone lines, dealing with queries and taking online payments. I was able to take the opportunity, through telephone calls, to upsell to potential customers. • Event planning: Implementing my persuasive negotiation skills helped me greatly when planning events within a budget. I was also able to use my creativity to tailor an event to accommodate the guests. I can handle all the logistics of the event, ensuring a seamless experience on the day. • Magazine Subscriptions: I personally managed the Magazine’s subscribers, (FileMaker Pro Programme) and dealt with correspondents. I therefore understand the importance of working to a deadline. I was also in charge of selling the Magazine at our regular events. My experience representing the Company in public means I understand the necessity of upholding company image. • Magazine support: Shared responsibility for the handling of entries and the marketing, and administration of the twice-yearly competitions.
