About me
I am currently a final year student at Manchester School of Art, and would identify myself as a womenswear designer. I enjoy manipulating fabrics, with textiles processes being a big part of my work, including embroidery, print and knit which I have incorporated into my designs in past projects. Throughout my final year I have specialised in print which can be seen throughout my final collection. With a foundation course in art and design, combined with my current BA fashion degree, I have a broad understanding of different mediums which means I’m able to get my ideas across in a variety of different ways. Within my experience of working in different fashion environments, I have a clearer understanding of the fast pace environment in which the industry moves in, as well as the hard work and commitment which is needed to progress.
Graduate Fashion Week – My final collection was shortlisted from over 500 collections to be a finalist in the ’25 Best of GFW’ Gala show

Fashion Design Internshipsmattybovan
- York, United KingdomInternship
During the summer of 2017 I did an internship with Matty Bovan where I learnt many valuable skills. I helped out with pattern cutting, knitting, weaving, customising accessories, dressing at London Fashion week and helping make for production. As Matty is a young designer we worked closely together and I observed the process from researching right through to the final catwalk show at London Fashion week, learning a lot about the industry over the three months with him.

Fashion Design InternshipsYinshan
- Ningbo, ChinaInternship
Worked at a design company called ‘Yinshan’ in Ningbo, China from March till June 2017. I helped with customer research as many of the partner brands were European and designed men’s shirts for these brands. I also helped design women’s tops for their own brand, with 6 of my tops being made and sold to buyers. From sourcing fabrics to presenting final samples and designs, I gained many valuable skills including gaining contacts with global fabric suppliers, merchandisers and clients, developing valuable customer research skills, print development, responding to commercial and specific brand briefs and overseeing the process from designs to the manufacture of final garments.
