About me
Recent graduate of the Creative Events Management course at Arts University Bournemouth, in which I received a 2:1 BA Hons degree. I'm now studying on the two year MA course Marketing, Distribution, Sales and Exhibition at the National Film and Television School, which will allow me the skills and knowledge needed to work in various areas within the Film, Television and Games industry. I love all things creative including musicals, film, television, concerts and festivals. I'd like to try my hand at screenwriting in the future, hopefully that is something I'll pursue alongside a potential career in either publicity, events, marketing or distribution.

I am in charge of the short film submissions that come in. I track potential short films, contact filmmakers to encourage them to enter their film and then ensure all information within submission forms are correct. I then create entries so that the BIFA voters are able to easily access the films in order to make their decisions in the voting process.

As part of my third year major project I partook in the creation of Coastliners: Sea Shanty and Sea Folk Festival which was held in Poole, Dorset. My role within this project was that of Artist Liaison/Programme Manager which meant I had to job of putting together the festival programme and managing artists on the day of the event to ensure it ran smoothly.

I am on the Marketing, Distribution, Sales and Exhibition course. This course is incredibly helpful in lending a helping hand in stepping in the door of the film, television and games industries. We are taught by various guest speakers from important companies in the UK such as the FDA, UKCA, LipSync, Fremantle, ComScore, Screen Daily, BARB and Studio Canal for example. We are given the chance to visit real industry events, network and undergo various work placements in order to fully experience working what working in the industry may be like and so that we are completely prepared to come out the other side of graduation as industry professionals in a multitude of areas.

Quote from Darren Henley OBE: Tackling an important topic, which has been overlooked in the past, this dissertation was extremely well argued, benefiting from deep insights born out of extensive and careful research. Its thought-provoking discussion meant that I came away from reading it feeling that I had learned something new.
