About me
I'm a Sussex University graduate now living in London with over six years experience in event production, and more recently sales. Specialising in music and creative events, i am highly motivated, organised and have a real passion for delivering perfection. After graduating in 2010 I spent two years working for Audio, one of Brighton’s leading underground electronic music venues. It was here I developed a real passion for electronic music and events management, and I found that as my experience and knowledge of the industry grew, I really began to thrive in this environment. In addition to this I worked with online music magazine Data Transmission, coordinating events in Brighton and London as well as writing event reviews for various club nights, festivals and music events based primarily in Brighton, London and the South East. This role then took me to Ibiza for the summer where I spent the season writing event reviews exclusively from the white isle. This has given me a huge amount of experience in music journalism, as well as event management, networking and artist liaison; and is something that I continue to enjoy immensely. My most recent role has been Sales and Events Manager at The Proud Archivist on Regent’s Canal in Haggerston. As Head of Sales, I have been responsible for dealing with all large enquiries for hire at this 5000 Sq Ft hybrid venue comprising of an art gallery, event space, screening room, bar and restaurant. I have managed a huge range of events including stand up comedy, theatre, music gigs, live art, product launches, showcases, corporate seminars and creative away days, location shoots, private parties and weddings. I am the main point of contact for all clients from point of enquiry to point of confirmation, at which point I will oversee the logistics and production run by coordination team to ensure smooth execution and client satisfaction. This has been an interesting, challenging and fulfilling role for me, and through this I have developed an interest in event sales as well as being able to continue working on my existing passion in event production. I am now looking for an exciting and challenging career move, where I can develop my skill base whilst being able to work in an environment where my passion for music, culture and creative events will be a real driving force. I am friendly, approachable, confident and extremely organised; and would be grateful for an opportunity such as this where I am able to put my existing strengths to good use in a new environment.
