About me
I recently graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in songwriting (BA Songwriting). I am a part time piano teacher where I teach music theory to beginners. I compose my own songs with lyrics on piano but I also enjoy creating beats using the software Ableton Live. I released some of my songs on streaming platforms and some of my produced beats on Instagram called Lucie’s Beats. I like to create sound and music and I would like to share my music in a work environment and/or to collaborate.

The course offered a hands-on exploration of the art and craft of contemporary songwriting. A personalized learning experience that provides us with the knowledge, understanding, and skills needed to pursue a career within the music industry. It developed our unique and creative voice through structured weekly individual and collaborative songwriting activities (songwriting briefs for example). Our tutors would encourage us to write songs using new methods and approaches in order to write beyond our usual writing style. We were taught various writing techniques, lyrical but also the writing of music (chord progressions, music theory) The course has professionalized our writing ability through entrepreneurial business practice assisting us to understand how the music industry operates (ex: Business class, Marketing & monetizing class) and connections in the music industry that allows us to build a songwriting network (ex: masterclasses and networking events). The final year was focused on a research-based creative project. We would discuss about our experience in the music industry, achievements, failures and what we expect of the future within the music industry.
