Combining English Literature and Film Studies provided me with an array of transferable skills vital to any career. My degree has allowed me to cultivate and refine my passion for creative and informative writing along with the development of critical reading, research and analysis skills. Over the last three years I have gained a broad knowledge of histories and cultural movements dating as far back as to the first filmic theory through to current philosophical notions. In my final year I was given the opportunity out of a select few to study ‘Mapping Contemporary Cinemas’ which provided experience and preparation for a career in publishing. This culminated in the publishing of my own piece of work, a Short Guide to Inclusion Riders (https://bit.ly/3n5HFjz) which explores the discourse surrounding diversity and inclusion within the creative industry.
