I am an enthusiastic and hard-working graphic designer and artist, with a breadth of experience producing various professional standard outputs, as well as more artistic pieces. Throughout my career and past studies I have continued to develop and enhance my capabilities to proficiently utilise the Adobe suite, in addition to more analogue skills, including book binding and stop-motion animation. Most recently, I have completed a range of promotional materials for a top-end hair care brand, and very much look forward to engaging with my next creative challenge.
Projects
- Haiku: A VisualisationHaiku: A Visualisation aims to utilise the visual potential present within haiku poetry to translate three selected haiku poems into tranquil, yet visually engaging stop-motion animation videos. These hopefully offer the viewer a brief antidote to the rushed nature of the modern world, as well as bringing the serene and modest joy of haiku poetry to a perhaps unaware audience. As each of the selected haiku poems were written by different poets and possess different qualities, the animations wer
- Yours TrulyYours Truly was designed and assembled to showcase wartime women’s magazine agony aunt columns. This involved creating a series of oil painting portraits of the reimagined readers to be featured in a suitably designed, hand-bound book encased in an envelope box. All elements were well considered and carefully selected, for example the paper stock, size and additional elements. A double sided poster was also created in order to provide close ups of the paintings and add a more interactive element
- Le PoissonI created an accomplished stop-motion animation video utilising a variety of household objects and materials to create characters and sets, including wool, tissue paper, clay, buttons, and paper clips. The video explores the possibilities of stop-motion animation following the narrative of a man and a fish interacting during a fishing trip. Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro were used to construct the video within a strict three week deadline.
