About me
My name is Lucy and I am a down-to-earth and ambitious creator, with a growth
mindset, passionate about people, purposeful design, learning and education. I love helping others to achieve their goals, adding value to a business and making ideas a reality.
I have over 10 years industry experience specialising in branding, marketing, creative problem solving and illustration across both print & digital channels (b2b and b2c). My work has featured in reputable design magazines such as computer and digital arts and last year I had the privilege of illustrating and designing educational products for St Paul's Cathedral, The Natural History Museum, English Heritage, The RHS and more.
Over the years I have enjoyed working in various part-time positions at reputable design and marketing agencies across the UK whilst also building my own design business up part-time. Prior to this I spent 4 years working full time at a fast-paced branding agency in London working for high profile clients under NDA’s where my passion for branding and identity originally began.
Having gained opportunities to work in many design sectors from print, publishing, product design, events and experiential marketing I have gained the skills necessary for a multidisciplinary designer and I am able to quickly adapt in all sorts of creative situations which is useful within a busy environment. I really enjoy challenging myself, learning new things and finding new ways to improve both myself and the companies that I find myself working with.

Brand creation, ideation and visualisation for up and coming high end property marketing developments and town regeneration projects within the UK. Clients include Telford Homes, Bellway, Redrow, Countryside Properties, Kier Living, Spitfire Homes, Bewley Homes,
Crest Nicholson and more.
At present, I am employed part time at THINKBDW the UK’s largest property marketing agency where I have been for the past 3 years. I am a brand designer in a fast-based busy environment working with over 300 clients and my day-to-day role is varied. Often I am leasing with account handlers, working with copywriters and various other departments handling branding projects from pitch to delivery and ensuring global property brands abide to their guidelines by analysing existing and outsourced materials across all channels. My role often requires me to interpret complex data into exiting design collateral in a variety of formats
Key duties:
Researching, name generation and creative styling for developments ensuring each site is a stand alone brand with an individual identity
Brand guide creation, brochure design, floor plan layouts, interior and exterior signage
Working with and maintaining good relationships with over 200 members of staff
Understanding the incentives and offers available for each property development in order to best design persuasive marketing collateral - design that sells
Copy writing and formulating big ideas for national property campaigns
Writing headlines, designing simple information graphics for consumers to better understand and digest complex data
Defining the best user journey for clients on and offline
Designing all aspects of print and web collateral from brochures and newspaper advertisements to promotional items, website landing pages and email campaigns
Creating information graphics, interior design concepts, graphics for Interactive displays and large format outdoor advertising pieces from bus stops and billboards to street long hoarding runs
Ensuring each development maintains the existing high standards of branded materials by advising account handlers on changes or new entries to brand guides -ensuring these are followed at all times and discussed with the client for correct usage.

Freelance Graphic Designer and Illustrator with a passion for Creating Functional, Illuminating and Purposeful Design that achieves results. My aim is to ‘wow’ clients and their audiences with exciting, intelligent ideas, a strong vision and a professional execution throughout every project.
Over the past decade I have built and maintained a creative design business from my studio. I have had the pleasure of creating, developing and maintaining brands such as Digital Attitude Milan, Eating Europe and Delma Exchange Dubai. Working with clients internationally has enabled me to meet and collaborate with some fantastic people - from all walks of life and gain a broad portfolio of creative design work.
As well as having my own client base, I am also regularly hired by on a freelance contract basis by reputable UK advertising and marketing agencies for my creative problem solving. Most recently I helped award winning digital agency StrategiQ create their own new and exciting blog platform as well as refreshing their website with an evolution of new brand assets and a tech savvy UI.
Having a range of design disciplines has enabled me to work in different business sectors such
as not for profit, ed-tech, fin-tech, retail & start-ups where my design skills have been required
for branding, advertising, magazine publishing, events, product design, experiential marketing
and more. Last year I received recognition for my illustration and educational product design work featured in retail outlets within the heritage and cultural sector such as St Paul’s Cathedral, The Natural History Museum and English Heritage which is my most proudest achievement to date.
I have had the privilege of working with inspiring leaders, mentors, educators and motivational speakers - helping individual professionals create and elevate their own personal brand. For me to be helping people that help others has been a real win-win partnership that has inspired me to want to do this on a much larger scale. As a passionate and hard working individual, it has always been important for me to feel stimulated and fulfilled within my design career. I love to learn and to develop my skills both personally and creatively and by having the variety of working for myself as well as a part-time position – I have managed to strike a good balance of achieving the self development that i desire whilst enjoying new creative opportunities and challenges.
