About me
Lucy Elliott is a designer, illustrator and animator. Her work is well-known for it’s bold, stand-out style with graphic line work and playful edge.
My story starts at London College Of Communication, where I studied Graphic Design for Communication. With my interests laying in commercial design, I began my career upon graduation in 2009 at a London-based fashion accessories brand as an in-house graphic designer. In 2011 at 22 years old, I took a leap and decided to launch my own chocolate brand, Creighton’s Chocolaterie, by opening a store with a small production kitchen in my home town of Leighton Buzzard. The brand grew and grew while I steered the design direction, expanding to two further stores and building a roster of 250+ international retailers - including Liberty, Harrods & Oliver Bonas. We also worked on collaborations with Google, Meta and Sanrio and by 2019 I was running a chocolate factory producing 10,000 bars a week. After a whirlwind 9 years being ‘Willy Wonka’, I decided to close the business at its peak for a better work/life balance and to go back to my design roots.
In 2020, I took my first freelance design job, pairing my digital design skills with my extensive knowledge and interest in brand building. This unique combination has led me to create eye-catching branding, packaging and digital design for over 30 clients in just 2 years.
