About me
I have recently graduated from Exeter University with a 2:1 in English Literature and for the last four months I have been undertaking a social media and marketing internship. The company is called Ultimate Library, they curate libraries and book collections for hotels and private clients. I am now looking for my first permanent job!

The role has proven to be fast paced and demanding, I run the social media channels for the company whilst also creating content for the website and curating and sending out the monthly newsletters. I regularly write book blurbs for the booklists that get sent out to each new client and write posts for the company blog.
Alongside this I assist with the management and organisation of Ultimate Library’s book salons, these events revolve around a talk and a book signing by an author. During these events I am responsible for the photography and co-ordination of the interaction between the authors and the attendees. Most recently we hosted Adam Kay and William Boyd.
My role is also a creative one, I use Photoshop to create original branded bookplates and bookmarks to be distributed with every library we supply. I also use it to create engaging and effective marketing material, such as invitations and newsletter images.

At this large financial media buying company my roles included working within a team to develop an advertising campaign over different multimedia platforms and then pitching it to staff at Ptarmigan.
We were able to design our own advert with a creative agency and visit offices of the companies that we would potentially use in our campaign, including Bloomberg, Citywire and the Financial Times.

During my degree I learnt how to work efficiently to deadlines and come up with both original ideas and effect ways of structuring an argument.
I learnt good team work skills as we we constantly undertook study group projects that counted towards our final grades.
My dissertation looked at mental institutions in literature as symbols against authority and examined how big a part they played in the anti psychiatry movement of the 1970s.
