- psurdiev collectionIn this project I wanted to present the essence and some kind of beginning of my design development. I was not focusing on currant inspiration I rather wanted to start my design evolution. I was asking myself what are my rules and what accompanies me through my design development. The concept of contrast has always been present in both overall image as in construction and details. I undertook this project both technically and creatively. I used the contrast of organic and geometric forms and how to combine the right materials for desired shape of the garment. I cleared the forms of classic patterns to such an extend that I’ve completely transformed and deconstructed them into new simple geometric shapes. I wanted to achieve comfort in a way that sharp geometrically built patterns would organically adapt to a human body. Above all I was thinking how to liberate and get rid of tension and claustrophobia. How will a person experience safety and freedom in these garments in contrast to today’s society. The contrast between controlled society and the human free spirit.
- kontrast collectionI started this project with deconstructing and geometrically transforming certain classical garment patterns. I was thinking about the different contrasts, both in materials as in pattern development. I found it interesting how two-dimensional geometry transforms itself into fluid organic form. To achieve this we needed to use the right materials. In order to continue this concept I combined black and white with knitted and woven fabrics.
