Luna Sue Huang (b.1998) is a Chinese artist currently based in London. She graduated from the Hubei Institute of Fine Arts in Painting in 2019, and then completed the MA in Illustration and Visual Media at the University of the Arts London in 2021. She primarily works with the medium of painting, drawing, printmaking and animation. Her practice is about subconsciousness, her experience with synesthesia and her self-reflection. She was inspired by Ancient Chinese poetry, exploring the expression of humans' most vital and most common emotions.
She has already been included in various important exhibitions, for example, her printmaking was selected by Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, and her animation work has received awards and nominations for best animation at festivals around the world, such as the 2022 WSXA Paris International Awards, European Cinematography Awards. Her paintings and illustration have been exhibited globally in Korea, Italy, Japan, and China.
