About me
I have worked in the fashion industry for over 2 years, after successfully completing my BA in Design, followed by an MA in Creative Direction for Fashion Media. Throughout my time working and at university, I gained and nurtured valuable skills & practice across a variety of interconnected territories within design, creative direction and fashion, while simultaneously further developing my creative mindset. I have acquired strong communication skills, which allow me to efficiently communicate ideas, both visually and verbally, improved my organisational and planning skills, as well as resulted in the enhancement of my confidence. I am currently looking to gain more experience working within the fashion, beauty and entertainment industries.

Graphic/ Interior Design InternCMIN Pediatrics Hospital
     - Porto, PortugalInternship
During the summer I did an internship as a graphic/interior design and illustration intern with a designer who worked for a pediatrics hospital in Portugal, CMIN. I had to create a child friendly/ pediatric environment in hospital rooms and facilities. I also did labels (typography + illustrations) for department doors, as well as designing information booklets & leaflets for those same units. I worked within hospital facilities, in frequent collaboration with medical staff, HR department, 3 other design interns, and even some patients. This allowed me to experience working with people from different professions, in a different type of enviroment and having to design and adapt my work according to the client’s needs and wants.

Editorial Design InternATTITUDE Interior Design Magazine
     - Porto, PortugalInternship
In 2015, I submitted one of my pieces of work to one of the most renowned Portuguese interior design magazines, distributed worldwide, "ATTITUDE". It ended up being chosen to feature in the magazine's 63rd issue, themed Colour. In 2018, I readily accepted further work experience opportunities offered by the magazine, who focuses on interiors, architecture, design, art and lifestyle. During my one month internship there, I helped with the translation and proofreading of the magazine as well as broadened my knowledge on editorial design, layouts, the process of putting together a magazine and all its elements, and further developed and learned how to use InDesign.

     - London, United Kingdom
I moved from my home country, Portugal, to SE London to study at Goldsmiths University of London. I chose the course BA Design, as it allows me to explore all the possibilities of design, without any borders or separation between design fields. Furthermore, I have the opportunity to learn about and interact with a range of areas, from graphics to film & photography, coding (& others), and how they all interconnect within the ever evolving world of design, rather than just learning a set of specific practical skills.
