This is a part-time position (20h/week). With more 1,800 k users and 79.4 k followers this job allows me a better understanding in SEO undergrounds and tricks. Initially, I was hired to carry out the SEO audit for the company then asked to join the team to help them integrate the changes that were recommended as well help with day to day tasks as creating backlinks, making sure the new content is tagged properly etc. I was subsequently offered and accepted a Social Media Assistant role.
Project based. Worked together on more than 100 projects. Each of these projects was different depending on what the customer needs, duties and time. I started by helping with small design jobs and slowly learned how to deal with the hosting, SEO, use different templates and programs as bootstrap to create websites. In time the curiosity pushed me to learn how to write basic code and made me aware of some UX principles.
I was responsible for designing the first campaign of the company, where we sent free samples to customers that requested it as well as gathering information regarding their preferences in order to create a customer base and understand their needs. I needed to test and analyze the campaigns of the company. I finalized this project by carrying out the complete development of their new website.
Working within the marketing department, my tasks included creating the company’s website, creating and uploading the content, creating promotion- al materials as catalogues, leaflets, poster, taking care of the social media accounts and SEO. I also helped in putting together a 2 day Expo in London for Takeaway Innovation 2013. This was an incredible journey as we had less then a week to do everything from booking the space to selling products. Left the position as I felt the company culture was not what I was looking for at that particular moment in my life.
During my internship at the unit, I had a range of duties including taking photographs for their website, meta-tagging, designing booklets.
