For as long as I can remember, searching for answers has been my favourite thing to do. Problem solving not only for the sake of it, but to help other people to find the 'Aha!' moment.
As a strategist, this has meant working to explore the many facets that make up a brand and business, in order to find the most impactful way to define and communicate the solution.
But more significantly, this means that the questions don't stop with the client. As people in the creative industry, we should always be searching for ways to evolve how we learn and work. Whether through internal practices in people, culture and diversity or through innovation, education and research.
This is why, earlier this year my partner and I launched Not Only — But Also, a platform to target and improve some of these things. Not Only — But Also sheds light on the other roles in the creative industry, past Graphic Designer, in order to open up conversations and create new opportunities that wouldn't have existed otherwise. It's a platform for young creatives who don't yet know the lay of the land or who don't quite know where they fit.
