About me
My name is Madelaine Duncan. Art has been my life long passion and I graduated from a degree in illustration and Visual Communication last year. Previous to this I completed a foundation in Art and Design at Central saint Martins where I explored a wide range of different art practices.
I am intelligent, creative person and although I haven't had much experience working in the creative industry yet I am a fast learner and eager to prove myself.
I have worked in bars and restaurants since I was 15 and believe this has given me extremely good interpersonal skills and has allowed me to operate effectively both independently and as part of a team. Having had to work busy Friday and Saturday nights with very high volumes of people has taught me how to work under pressure and stay calm in stressful situations and deal with difficult people.
Whilst at school I volunteered helping disabled children at A Mencap respite center at weekends and although this was several years ago I enjoyed the experience and think it helped me to become more considerate of other peoples needs.
I am a recent graduate with a love of Art and all things creative I would relish the opportunity to share this with others.
