About me
Hello! I’m Mairi. I’m a graphic designer with an interest in illustration and motion design. This is a collection of some of my work. Education -First Class Honours Degree BDes (Hons) Graphic Design from the University of Dundee 2020 Experience -Three month design internship from June-August 2019 with brand specialist agency called ‘Good’ -Freelance from 2019 to present Street Cred -Member of winning team for a two week Dyson creative challenge competition 2019 with a £500 equivalent prize award each -Winner of branding brief working with brand strategy agency ‘Good’, this awarded me a three month internship

    Digital Process IllustrationsOver the course of a three month internship with a brand consultancy called 'Good', based in Glasgow, I got to dip into the world of branding and strategy. This internship experience not only provided me with valuable insight into the intricate process of branding and strategy but also allowed me to refine and develop my illustration skills while working with the talented design team.     Reporters Without BordersData is collected by World Press Freedom Index which denounces of acts of violence against journalists globally. This publication aims to make the information which is collected by them more accessible and engaging. I created the visual artwork using a photocopier and torn news paper. The distressed effect of the imagery aims to communicate the stifling and corrupt nature of the subject. Overall, the publication design is refined to be quiet and solemn in tone.     The Golden Number: Urban MathematicsBrief: Define a target audience and invite them to reconsider the significance of numbers in their lives through a publication. Solution: Design and Architecture have a deep-rooted history in mathematics. The Golden Ratio is a mysterious theory in mathematics which bond the fields together. Following my discovery of key insights through research, the goal of this publication is to provide a stylish and appealing take on the history of mathematics.
