About me
I am a graduate textile designer from Cumbria. I recently completed the Textiles in Practice course at Manchester School of Art where I specialised in Print and Mixed-Media. I am now continuing my practice from home in Cumbria while working on private commissions, but am looking to gain more experience of working in the creative industry.
Projects
- Hand-Made Floral/Farm to FabricThese are two closely linked projects. Farm to Fabric was inspired by the shapes observed at Farmer's markets and then interpreted abstractly though collage and mark-making. Hand-Made floral was a collaged response to florals found in gardens, parks and the countryside. Both were resolved through screen-printing and digital designs to create a collection of hand-made table linen including napkins, placemats and table runners.

My role included organising stock, gathering props for catalogue shoots, organising collection and delivery of stock. I researched and designed for collaborations and upcoming collections and made CAD mockups of garments.

My jobs included packaging glasses and scarves, cutting mountboard, making badges, helping photograph artwork, applying decals to glasses and preparing glasses for firing. I also helped with paper cutting.
