PR and MarketingAmanda Wakeley
- London, United KingdomInternship
Working as an intern in the Wakeley marketing team allowed me to work on brand and press events including two London Fashion weeks and many brand launches from start to finish. Daily tasks included sample trafficking including VIP and press requests, press credit trafficking ensuring the marketing executive could focus on bigger things.
Other responsibilities:
- Researching and proposing new ideas and concepts for social media content and brand events.
- Assisting in the organisation of every aspect of LFW as well as campaign, lookbook and street style shoot preparations
- Upkeep of secondary social media channels such as Pinterest and Facebook.
- Working closely with the Digital team, E-Commerce team and Retail store teams on online and offline customer acquisition initiatives.
Throughout my time here, I have greatly improved my multi-tasking and organisation skills due to working in a very enjoyable, fast-paced environment. My strong ability of being able to come up with out-of-the-box solutions and solve problems has allowed me to not only learn from my mistakes, but also succeed at everyday activities and those distinctively alternative.
My time at Wakeley was truly educational, I am not afraid of hard work and responsibility which allowed me to take on real responsibility so I very quickly became an equal in the Wakeley team.
After 6 months, I was offered a paid position until November 2018 after which I had to prepare to head back to university.
