About me
Malaya Rhiann is a founder, creative producer and photographer driven by a love for storytelling that transcends traditional boundaries. She is committed to amplifying diverse perspectives and ensuring authentic representation through her work. Malaya Rhiann has collaborated with organisations such as WePresent, The Southbank Centre, The Kusp, and The Walt Disney Company on projects spanning fashion, film, and advertising. She has also worked alongside award-winning filmmakers, including Sheila Nortley, Martina Russo, Helen Jacey, and others, contributing to impactful and innovative storytelling. Malaya earned her BA in Film & Television from the University of the Arts London (2023) and began her MA in Creative Business at the National Film and Television School in January 2025, with graduation expected in 2027. Her work explores themes such as womanhood, homelessness, and community, capturing the essence of human experiences with confidence and nuance.

    Unique Moore - West Indies DiasporaThe Trinidad and Tobago Carnival is known as the greatest street parade in the world. It began with slaves mocking their oppressor’s sartorial aesthetic as an act of defiance which turned into a liberated celebration. Slaves were banned from attending extravagant events held by the privilage, the carnival was then introduced as a place for those to come together and build their ways of celebrating by wearing costumes, dancing, singing, and making fun of the people who held the masquerade balls.
