First Class BA (Hons) in English LiteratureUniversity of Westminster
     - London, United Kingdom
In this course, I've engaged with many literary works, including traditional literature, namely Shakespeare, Defoe, Blake, and Dickens, and non-traditional contemporary cultural texts. I've developed a strong understanding of interdisciplinary theories, such as Queer Studies, Memory Studies, Critical Race Theory, and Postcolonial Theory. I've learnt how to confidently close-read and interpret novels, poems, films and artworks from different perspectives. For my final dissertation, I’ve critically analysed how the poetry of Walt Whitman, one of American literature’s founding fathers, reveals his stance regarding race and the abolition of slavery.
