Since 2002, I started to work as a freelance photographer and video editor. My experience includes covering different sorts of music and fashion shows, as well as private parties and events of any kind. In Brazil, I had the opportunity to have my photos published in the main newspapers and magazines Published photos: Caras (2009), O Globo – Rio Show (2008), O Municipal (2008), O Dia (2008), O Globo-Baixada (2008), Jornal Duque de Caxias (2007), website Rock Press (2007), Revista Pilotis (2006), O Globo (2005), Tribuna da Imprensa (2003), Jornal da Beija-Flor (2001) and several photos at G1 - www.g1.com.br (2010-2015).
I moved abroad to Sheffield to do a master’s degree in filmmaking and throughout the course I worked as an International Ambassador in Sheffield Hallam University. The role helped me to gain new skills whilst dealing with people from different countries. My main duties included facilitating workshops including meeting guest speakers on arrival and distributing handouts, talking with new international students, welcoming guests on events and also helping the team at the office.
In 2010, I started to work as a content editor at G1 - Internet news web channel of Rede Globo - Brazil and Latin America’s major Journalism and Entertainment Corporation (www.g1.com.br). My role as a content editor included working with a wide range of contents and technicalities of text and video editing. Besides my main function, I also contributed to the website writing reports about culture. During my undergraduate studies I worked as a part-time reporter, image editor and camerawoman at the TV show "Cultura da Ação" – broadcasted by NET. The job was about covering all sorts of events related to music and popular culture in Rio and Niteroi.
The MA at Sheffield Hallam is a production based and industry focused course that enabled you to pursue my filmmaking interests in documentary, fiction or experimental film. I achieved a distinction with the highest mark of all the students. I developed a project of an international documentary that I am currently moving ahead and shooting.
Throughout the film course, I learned about sound editing, producing and also image editing in Final Cut. I studied with respected and awards winners professionals of Brazilian cinema such as director Walter Lima Junior and editors Ricardo Miranda and Joanna Collier.
