Projects
- LegsThis has been an ongoing project throughout my time in both College and University. I had initially taken inspiration from Guy Bourdin's spectacular 'Walking Legs' series, but since the beginnings, it has morphed more into a bit of surrealist fun. Taking my hosiery legs around whatever location I have them in, I like to see where I can fit them best and what will make for the most interesting false narrative photograph.
- Memento MoriThis photography series was created for my first final year project on the University of Brighton's Fashion Communication course. This module's brief was entitled 'Research'. I decided to look into the subject of Memento Mori after watching the 2018 documentary McQueen. My research lead me from death symbols to the Danse Macabre and the following images are my photographic outcomes following this research.
- Absence of BodyThis photographic series was created for my Final Major Project. Absence of Body looks at the different ways Fashion Photography can be utilised when there is no model present. Through a range of surrealist photographs, it challenges the fashion industry's need for the perfect model by swapping them for plastic mannequins. Absence of Body also looks at the way still life photography can be used to capture human lives, be it through our possessions or our body's form.
