My name is Maria Jordão and I am a 23 year old graphic designer from Portugal.
I am currently employed as a Graphic Designer at Company One Publishing/ Espiral do tempo Magazine – a Portuguese watchmaking magazine.
Although I currently live in my home country, I always thought of working abroad, as I strive to challenge my self and fulfil the need to always learn more.
I’ve been Espiral do Tempo Magazine’s Editorial Designer for more than one year, and therefore I developed strong editorial and photo editing skills. I’m responsible for creating new and interesting editorial layouts (according to the magazine guide lines), paging all types of articles, searching and editing photos and also for reviewing the whole magazine.
All of this requires a strong attention to detail, great time management skills and great communication between me and the editorial team.
Besides designing the magazine, I am also responsible for developing every creative material needed for internal use of Torres Distribuição like product catalogues and adapting print and web ads for several watche’s brands.
I also have experience in managing and creating new daily contents for social media accounts.
My career goals are to continue to learn and evolve as a graphic designer by producing creative contents for print and also for web.
