Hi I'm Maria and I've recently graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a 2.1 in Textiles Design specialising in weave. I enjoy pushing the boundaries of traditional weave and exploring colour and texture. I'm fashion based although have been nominated for interior awards such as the I-Dott Wallpaper competition. I have a deep interest in fashion sustainability and believe this is vital for the future of this industry, having achieved a Sustainability In Practise award from my university.

- Playful TranquillityThis project is designed for relaxing interiors to help people's mental health during Covid 19. I completed this project during the pandemic, as a result I couldn’t use university equipment and had to create visual representations of how my weaves would look along with thinking about how they would work technically. I loved this challenge and it allowed me to grow my CAD skills and look at the design process in more depth.
- Constructed PsychedeliaConstructed Psychedelia is a women's wear collection exploring the boundaries of traditional weave. Taking inspiration from the hippie movement and the aesthetic associated with psychedelics to create a mind expanding range, filled with creativity and colour in a time where we need it more than ever. By experimenting with different fibres this collection is adaptable for different types of garment and uses stretch to push the traditional boundaries of woven fabric.
