Sotto Sale is a project which explores the relationship between conservation and change. As these two opposing dynamics come together, a new concept will emerge that will have to adapt and find a new way to relate to the world, both physically and spiritually. It developed from the need to observe how the accumulation of different layers of meaning can coexist in a single project or even a single exhibition. In doing so, it aims to be a platform for many other initiatives to grow. Sotto Sale aims to become an interdisciplinary platform that, having contemporary art as its main focus, invites artists to reflect on some of the most pressing concerns and questions around contemporary society.
