About me

My name is Mariana and I'm an artist from Lisbon who works mainly in pen, watercolors, ink, acrylics, oils, engraving and ceramics. I also do some illustration. My favourite subject is people and I'm interested in capturing the way they interact with the world, other people, themselves and their surroundings. Also the relationship between the individual and the collective as well as life's illusions and constructs.

I attended and high school in Lisbon specialised in arts, I majored in ceramics and gained level 3 professional training in this area. I also had general arts training in this high school and the subjects I took were ceramics, drawing, arts' management, history of art, geometry, philosophy, portuguese and english
