Hello! My name is Marianna Orsho and I am a multidisciplinary designer from Sydney, based in London. I work in the fields of type design, graphic design, illustration and animation. My work ranges in technique and medium, unified by the desire to communicate with emotion, intrigue with the unexpected, and bring ideas to life in ways which excite and pay homage to craftsmanship with detail-oriented and unique visuals. My work has been published in Semi-Permanent and Curvy, among the ‘40 Most Interesting Female Artists’ in 2010, and among one of Elle magazine’s ‘20 Young Talents’ in 2013. The work I have done in typeface design has been awarded by Instituto Cervantes and Hiii Typography, while my love for motion design has led to my animations being screened all over the world. Classically trained as a graphic artist, I completed my Masters Degree in Type Design and Animation at the University of Arts in Belgrade. Designing since 2003, I have worked in various areas of visual communications - from Motion Graphics to Branding, where I had the opportunity to create visual identities for small businesses and combine the disciplines of graphic design, type design and illustration to form design systems which translated the client’s voice into a visual language with authenticity.
