About me
For the past two years, Marie Tina Asoh has been located in Zurich, Switzerland.
Having studied Landscape Architecture as her Bachelor's, in Ontario, Canada, MTA has been ambitious and deliberate in her pursue of the perfect work-life equilibrium. Choosing to pursue an internship in Switzerland, she took a two year gap from her studies, in order to learn first hand about the Swiss landscape, architecture and design lifestyle. Working with an international landscape architecture firm, MTA broadened her perspective in search of her 'calling' in the field of design. Her eventual position as an 'International Coordinator' between the company's various offices allowed her to focus and prioritize communication not just for the sake of it, but rather as the focus of any idea, concept or vision. She therefore, always jumps at any opportunity to write, illustrate or edit in all forms of media.
As of now, she takes a seat at the table of academia once more by obtaining her MAS in Housing Development part-time, at the renown ETH Zurich. With the rest of her 'free' time, she offers her services as a freelance Copywriter for independent, up-and-coming design and technology companies.
Her expertise does not end there! She also curates a handful of passion projects such as @remembertorest otherwise known as the Well-Rested Collective: a platform on instagram dedicated to advice, interaction and DIY solutions for those who wish to prioritize rest, both as an essential activity and a call for resistance in response to the current socio-political economy we are in. Meanwhile, to balance her ambitious contributions, she offers her talents as an undercover Dj, ranging from old-school Jazz infused hip-hop&wordsmiths, to groovy, low-fi electronic and deep house sounds. She is a woman of many talents, and is always open to trying on new hats as they appear.
