As a Curatorial Assistant, my main responsibility is to assist the Curatorial and Public Programming Teams by working alongside artists and curators to help research and produce exhibitions, prepare gallery spaces, and develop collections. In addition, I work extensively with the curatorial team to create a comprehensive and more wide-reaching exhibition programme. It is in these efforts that we worked to create exhibitions that highlight the talents of British artists in an international context. Additionally, I was tasked with research to aide in the production of a new and more contemporary, Digital Marketing Strategy for the Gallery, as well as an up to date archive for the website. With experience maintaining websites, blogs and various social networking sites, I developed strategies on how to make the Gallery’s web presence more effective and accessible to both the the people of Glasgow, and visitors to the city.
