I have always found the influence of technology on our modern world fascinating. At university, I was able to extend my knowledge through the studies of technology on business-related issues, including ways in which it can help or hinder a company, particularly in terms of branding. I then became part of a small team, which set up an online creative platform documenting student night-life and adopted the role of the web designer. I used Squarespace to curate a number of different websites based on my team's vision, which kickstarted my drive to become a developer.
The General Assembly Software Engineering Immersive was the perfect environment for me to learn and has allowed me to combine my creative skills with a new coding skillset, which I am excited to continue to develop in an innovative fast-paced environment.

During my gap year, I worked here to gain some experience with a luxury brand. I had a number of responsibilities and objectives, including visual merchandising, cash desk/tills, administration (including setting weekly targets using KPI’s), stock control,
liaising with head office, dealing directly with customers & meeting set targets and sales challenges.
I was fortunate to be based at their original flagship store in St. Albans, which meant that I had exposure to all aspects of the brand and the business. I particularly enjoyed being given the opportunity to develop my visual merchandising skills, through being assigned to regular store redesign projects and working alongside the professional visual merchandising team.
