About me
An ex London Advertising Agency Creative Director.
I've won prestigious design awards during my career, though for me I personally get more of a thrill, seeing first hand, how my involvement translates to real tangible results for those I work with. I'm now dedicated to splitting my time between following my passion for art, illustration and cherry-picking creative projects. I particularly love to share my experience and expertise to help the individual or business succeed with their goals.
I'm a specialist in branding, advertising and strategy. Capable of delivering quantifiable results across many sectors having worked with blue chip and household brands as well as start-ups. I have worked with the likes of BT, Ford, B&O, Puffa, T-Mobile, NBA, many premier league football clubs and international musicians. I've worked on everything from album artwork through to TV commercials, retail interiors and social advertising.
As mentioned l'm also an established artist and illustrator (FREQ) with many published editorial works and art within private collections globally.
As an illustrator, I've been busy doodling and producing these for a wide range of industries since the age of 11! I illustrate privately for individuals, editorial and for individual business needs too. I have a very adaptable style as you'll probably note and can adapt to most requests.
I love a challenge so lets talk about yours! :)
Projects
- Caffeine Energy Bar Advertising Animations/IllustrationsFun little project for a US ‘green coffee choc-truffle energy snack co’ creating the illustrations and animations for a social media campaign. To cut a long story short, Lord Comatose is out to rule the world with lethargy with his team of Zzz’s and the only thing stopping him of course is his nemesis Dr Energy! Yep, you get the idea
- Black Lives Matter Comic HeroHere’s another fun project I’ve recently completed! I was asked to create a new superhero purely speculatively with a completely open brief...so, being a massive comic fan and also aware of the current #blacklivesmatter movement this was the first choice made. There’s also less female supers, so again second decision made. I then had to think about who I could possibly base my hero on

Position: Founder/Creative Director
June 2001 > August 2016
I founded & co-ran a small integrated agency focused on concept & strategy. I formed the company to embrace multi-channel media, fully exploiting creative possibilities to challenge & provoke reaction. We worked with many exciting brands from many different markets & scale across a diverse range of projects. I’ll share one brief example here as its a story that speaks volumes. Tasked to work with the franchise group of T-Mobile to
generate a concept to drive traffic in-store and ultimately increase sales. We conducted market research and presented it to the client who was amazed to discover who their primary market actually was - yes you guessed it wasn’t at all who they had previously assumed! Anyway, to get to the point, we introduced
a test campaign during autumn in one city using a new approach and the result was astonishing seeing sales multiply in excess
of 300%. We therefore continued the process and rolled out
the campaign and mascot to drive the promotions through until Christmas and sales continued to increase even in areas that had previously struggled.
Clients managed included: Ford, BT, NBA, T-Mobile, Bang & Olufsen, Dell, Tottenham Hotspur FC, Arsenal FC, Puffa, Gola, The Prodigy, Greene King, Sainsbury’s & others.

TurQuoise Consultancy Position: Creative Director September 1998 > June 2001
Top 10 ranked London & Home County Agency with blue chip clients & aspirations for growth. Appointed initially as Studio Manager, I rapidly progressed through to Design Director & finally Creative Director. Responsible for generating strategic design concepts to exploit the varying channels of communication. During this time, I learnt much about the advertising industry, the technology which was evolving rapidly & client development.
I worked closely with the CEO to develop the design business
to both fulfil client requirements & complement the critical emergence of digital offerings being developed in-house. We developed early tech & UI concepts which later went on to be developed by Microsoft & Unisys pathing way for many of the digital communications utilised by many today. Lead creative, board member & a large proportion of time spent as client liaison & strategist. In addition, I was responsible for developing a growing creative team to both manage existing requirements whilst catering for new client wins. I successfully developed an interior design department. I pitched & won a major branding & interior/environmental project for one of our largest clients, BT for their innovations labs.
