Main Duties/Skills ● To ensure all media is on server and ready for playout ● Monitoring of transmission chain ● Direct live programmes and ensure commercial breaks are played out correctly ● Referral of editorial issues ● Strong communication skills for dealing with a range of stakeholders including the client and engineers ● Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask to transmission deadlines ● The ability to work extremely accurately under pressure in a TV broadcast environment ● Work is shift rota based and strongly relies on teamwork

I was responsible for creating multi-language versions of Disney programmes and films for both DVD and international television using Final Cut. Main Duties/Skills ● Swapping out of audio tracks and titles. Some editorial compliance editing ● Use of FTP clients and external hard drives for loading on content for editing purposes ● Encoding media in a variety of formats for multiple distribution methods ● Disk management and general movement of media/data around internal systems ● Conversion, resize and rename of various file types from digi ingested material to file delivery ● Good attention to detail and able to follow instructions closely in relation to client work orders
