My name is Marleen, I am a creative spirit that dreams of poetic and minimalistic design – then wakes up, and makes it real. Textile design and applied textile art are my core business, but you can also approach me for graphic design and product photography.
In August 2017, I graduated in Arts & Crafts at the Willem de Kooning Academie (WdKA) in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. During my studies, I have taken internships in textile design at studio Tas-Ka (the Hague) and studio LileSadi (Rotterdam), and did marketing for agro producer & fresh retail company Viscon Aimfresh (’s-Gravendeel). Then, early September 2017, I wanted to shake things up a bit and decided to move to Dublin. In the beautiful nature surrounding this vibrant city I am finding new inspiration to further develop my Fiber Landscape project, using pure and unprocessed materials found in the country such as Irish wool and flax.
I am currently in the process of locating the right materials and exploring different places to develop my products. I am very open to (interdisciplinary) collaborations and new creative gigs. Make sure to contact me if you have any questions, ideas or assignments. Happy days!
