Marquita is a Cornish textile designer specialising in printed textiles for both interiors and fashion. She graduated from Falmouth University in 2020 with a degree in Textile Design. Her love of digital print and colour is demonstrated through her energetic, striking prints. The dynamic range of abstract and representational styles in her work emphasises Marquita’s versatility. Her depth and understanding of the interaction and proportion of colour enhances Marquita’s designs, setting her work apart from the more conventional.
Known primarily for celebrating the Cornish heritage and landscape, Marquita works in plein air and from her own photographic work. She creates designs by hand through a range of media, enhancing them using digital design software.
